David Keplinger
David Keplinger is the author of three books of poetry, most recently The Prayers of Others, which won the 2006 Colorado Book Award. His fourth book will appear from New Issues in 2012. He is the recipient of the T.S. Eliot Prize, a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and the Danish Arts Council. He directs the MFA Program in Creative Writing at American University in Washington, D.C. Keplinger has translated two collections of Danish poet Carsten René Nielsen's poetry: World Cut Out with Crooked Scissors (New Issues Press, 2007) and House Inspections (BOA Editions, 2011).
